The best weather in the world is finally back in AZ. So, that means we’re all partying outside A LOT!!! :)

We’ve only known each other for like half a month, but Tommy is down to wreck any fool for me like the older brother I’ve never had. Feels nice to have a bodyguard, haha.

Forreal though, I learned a lot of this shoot, which is only the 2nd couple I’ve worked with.

• Give yourself & the people optimal time. Before, during, and after
• Weather conditions suck sometimes
• Learn to edit photos better
• Got over the awkwardness of taking photos with massive PDA haha
• Auto-focus lenses would be more convenient but I’m poor :(

Better photo-gear would be nice, but it does feel good to know I’m doing okay with the cheap stuff that I’m fortunate enough to have. I’m sooo ready to upgrade though, lol. Hopefully soon!

I was elected to lead, not to read.

I found some true words to encourage all my people with. It is ROUGH trying to show love to someone when they don’t even love themself.

Future Occupation

Volunteering at the Desert Botanical Garden is like hanging out with your whole family at Grandma’s house for dinner. All the senior volunteers are like the cool grandparents who treat you extra special and constantly offer you doughnuts until you become diabetic like them.

Then, you get completely hooked up with seeing all the best exhibits for free.

Also, taking photos of a giant dynasty of a family like this one quickly immerses you into their family culture. Especially, when a quirky uncle seductively unbuttons his shirt for you as you’re taking the picture.

The more I volunteer and take pics, the more convinced I am that I will have an incredibly SICK!! career after I graduate in May. Doing something where I change lives with my actions & images.

Kaelyn Autumn Lay-Gonzalez

I met AJ & Jessica’s daughter, Kaelyn, for the first time today! She totally denied me a high-five at first, but after a few minutes we were walkin’ around hand-in-hand. :) Also, thank you Mikey Lim for entertaining Kaelyn! haha.

Kit Promise

My friends are doing amazing things to support Sarnelli House, an orphanage for children with HIV and AIDS in Thailand.
